Richard really helped us out at very short notice when Dorset Wheelchair Hire let us down big time. He was willing to stay late for us to collect a mobility scooter for Mum, but I'm glad to say we got there on time! A true professional who really takes care about his customers. Nothing was too much trouble for him, wish we'd found you 1st. Thankyou Richard for making a really difficult time more bearable. When we are back in the area we will be back. My elderly house bound father needed specialised foot attire - he has heart failure and has fluid build up in both feet . I had been everywhere looking for shoes / slippers for him with no luck . I was tempted to buy online but really needed to be able to see exactly what I was buying . I had heard of Active Mibility but thought it was a shop for wheel chairs and the like . I googled stockists of very wide fitting foot attire and to my surprise Active Mobility popped up . I received expert advice as to the size and type that would suit my father best and was reassured that if not suitable I could return them . I went there and received such patient and professional service I actually came away feeling very uplifted . Nothing was too much trouble and the man who dealt with me went over and above what is considered good customer service . He even told me I could have VAT relief because of my fathers condition saving me £8 ! I am so pleased that I didn’t buy online because really we all need to support local businesses especially good ones ! I would say to anyone needing anything to make life easier they should visit Active Mobility. I was very impressed with what there was on offer and it wasn’t until I got home I thought that I must go back because there are a number of very good things at very affordable prices that would actually make my life easier never mind my dad ! I have even got ideas now for affordable presents for people I know who could do with some helpful , practical gifts .
